Finals Game 2: Al Sadd - Al Rayyan 62-71

Al Rayyan defended their D1 title. They edged Al Sadd in the second game to complete the sweep of the championship series. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 37-22 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American point guard Dominic James (180-86, college: Marquette) who scored 25 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Tanguy Ngombo (197-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Ivorian-French center Mohamed Kone (211-81, college: Valparaiso) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and international swingman Khalid Abdi (198-87) added 16 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for the hosts. Four Al Sadd players scored in double figures.
