Regular Season Round 24: Mamak DSI - Pertevniyal 80-75

There was a small surprise in Ankara where thirteenth ranked Mamak DSI (10-14) beat 11th ranked Pertevniyal (10-14) 80-75. Pertevniyal was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 48-40 second half run of Mamak DSI. They also forced 20 Pertevniyal turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Ricky Harris (187-87, college: Massachusetts) who led his team to a victory with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import power forward Brandon Peterson (204-90, college: Arkansas St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Mamak DSI players scored in double figures. American center Damontre Harris (208-91, college: Campbellsville) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and swingman Okben Ulubay (200-97) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Pertevniyal. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Mamak DSI moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Pertevniyal. Mamak DSI's next round opponent will be Meliksah (#14) in Kayseri.
