Regular Season Round 36: BK Decin - CEZ Nymburk 62-100

The most surprising game was another loss of top-ranked BK Decin (25-8) at the home court on Friday night. Hosts were rolled over by tenth ranked CEZ Nymburk (8-1) 100-62. The game without a history. CEZ Nymburk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to BK Decin's 24 and made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. CEZ Nymburk forced 27 BK Decin turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by BK Decin helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Vojtech Hruban (202-89) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and Cuban swingman Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) who added 11 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals during the contest. Five CEZ Nymburk players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Tomas Pomikalek (200-89) with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Ondrej Siska (190-93) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CEZ Nymburk have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains tenth position with 8-1 record. BK Decin lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with eight games lost. CEZ Nymburk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. BK Decin will play at home against the league's second-placed Prostejov where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
