Finals Game 2: Breakers - Wildcats 72-68

Date: March 4, 2016
New Zealand Breakers stayed alove in the NBL title quest. They knocked down Perth in Game 2 to force the decider on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-68. 26 personal fouls committed by Perth Wildcats helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Cedric Jackson (191-86, college: Cleveland St.) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Fijian-New Zealand forward Mika Vukona (197-82) chipped in 7 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four New Zealand Breakers players scored in double figures. American guard Jermaine Beal (191-87, college: Vanderbilt) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and the former international forward Jesse Wagstaff (203-86, college: Metro St.) scored 13 points. Perth Wildcats' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
