Very predictable result in Arroyo Encomienda where third ranked Estela (13-4) smashed 12th ranked La Fecha (4-13) 87-60 on Saturday. Estela forced 19 La Fecha turnovers. Pablo Sanchez (198-81) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in 18 points. The best for the losing side was forward Arturo Sarmiento (193-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Alejandro Fisac (183-96) scored 10 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Estela moved-up to second place in Group A-A, which they share with Pielagos and Ardoi. Newly promoted La Fecha keeps the twelfth position with 13 games lost. Estela's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Santander Cantbasket.
