Regular Season Round 36: Prostejov - Usti n/Labem 76-80

Very important is a home loss of second ranked Prostejov (24-9) against ninth ranked BK Usti nad Labem (12-22) on Saturday night. Host Prostejov was defeated by BK Usti nad Labem in a tough game in Prostejov 76-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Prostejov. It was a great shooting night for BK Usti nad Labem especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.1 percentage. The best player for the winners was swingman Pavel Bosak (192-82) who scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) chipped in 9 points and 13 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Lukas Palyza (202-89) who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-84) added 20 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively. Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. BK Usti nad Labem maintains ninth position with 12-22 record. Loser Prostejov keeps the second place with nine games lost. BK Usti nad Labem will meet higher ranked BK Pardubice (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Prostejov will play against the league's leader BK Decin where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
