Regular Season Round 19: Karpos Sokoli - Rabotnicki 83-72

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: Karpos Sokoli (#2) and Rabotnicki (#6). Karpos Sokoli (15-4) won against visiting Rabotnicki (7-12) 83-72. The game without a history. Karpos Sokoli led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Karpos Sokoli forced 22 Rabotnicki turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Michael Snaer (196-89, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording 22 points. Russian-Israeli power forward Anton Kazarnovski (205-85) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Karpos Sokoli's coach Sinisa Matic used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international Gjorgi Cekovski (203-79) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Dime Tasovski (200-80) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rabotnicki. Karpos Sokoli maintains second place with 15-4 record behind leader MZT Skopje. Rabotnicki at the other side keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Karpos Sokoli are looking forward to face Feni Industries (#4) in Kavadarci in the next round. Rabotnicki will play at home against Strumica and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
