Quarter-Finals Round 3: Azad - Arak 97-73

Azad outgunned Arak to force the decisive fourth game in the quarterfinal series. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 97-73. Azad dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Arak's 24. Azad forced 20 Arak turnovers and outrebounded them 47-34 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Arak's players. The best player for the winners was international forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) who scored 28 points and 7 rebounds. American-Montenegrin guard Brion Rush (186-84, college: Grambling St., agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists. Four Azad players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian power forward Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) who recorded 22 points and 5 rebounds and American-Guyanese Rawle Marshall (201-82, college: Oakland) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
