BSN top team - Caciques (5-1) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Leones (2-4) in Juana Diaz 88-80. Leones were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 25-13 charge of Caciques, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored 20 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Dominican forward Jack Michael Martinez (201-81) chipped in 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Caciques players scored in double figures. Caciques' coach Flor Melendez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Leones will play at home against Atleticos (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
