Regular Season Round 25: CFBB - Challans 64-92

Bottom-ranked CFBB (0-26) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 26th consecutive match to eleventh ranked Vendee Challans (12-13) 92-64. It looked good early as CFBB took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Vendee Challans had a 22-11 second period charge getting the lead and CFBB was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-92. Vendee Challans forced 24 CFBB turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by CFBB's players. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian Djordje Petrovic (202-84) who helped to win the game recording 21 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). DR Congolese-Belgian forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-92) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Vendee Challans' coach Freddy Masse felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. Swingman Sekou Omar Doumbouya (200-0) answered with 23 points and forward Ivan Fevrier (200-99) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for CFBB. Vendee Challans moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Angers BC. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Vendee Challans' next round opponent will be Mulhouse Basket (#13) at home. CFBB will play against SAP Vaucluse (#12) in Sorgues and hopes to get finally their first victory.
