Second Stage Round 9: KFUM Uppsala - Eskilstuna 73-81

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Eskilstuna (5-5) beat on the road 4th placed KFUM Uppsala (7-5) 81-73 on Wednesday. KFUM Uppsala trailed by 11 points at halftime and as many as 16 after three quarters before a 23-15 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 73-81 at the end of the game. Eskilstuna outrebounded KFUM Uppsala 52-28 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was British-Cameroonian forward Franck Kouagnia (201-89) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Hannes Widell (183-94) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Oliver Ehrnvall (197-96) who recorded 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Tobias Skyttevall (196-95) added 8 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Eskilstuna maintains fifth place in Superettan with 5-5 record. Loser KFUM Uppsala keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Eskilstuna will face league's leader Solna Branten on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. KFUM Uppsala will play against LF Future in Lulea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
