Regular Season Round 37: MMCITE Brno - BK Opava 82-77

Very important is a road loss of third ranked BK Opava (22-13) against twelfth ranked MMCITE Brno (8-26) on Wednesday night. Visiting BK Opava was defeated by MMCITE Brno in a tough game in Brno 77-82. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Michal Kremen (200-81) who helped to win the game recording a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. American guard Ernest Zeigler (196-91, college: TCU) contributed with 24 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Martin Gniadek (202-90) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and the former international guard Jakub Sirina (186-87) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for BK Opava. Four MMCITE Brno and five BK Opava players scored in double figures. MMCITE Brno moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with J.Hradec. BK Opava at the other side keeps the third position with 13 games lost. MMCITE Brno will play against higher ranked USK Praha (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BK Opava will have a break next round.
