The game in Santurce was also quite interesting. 4th placed Piratas (4-4) played at the court of fifth ranked Cangrejeros (4-2). Cangrejeros managed to secure a 8-point victory 98-90 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 8 points. Cangrejeros made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Javon McCrea (201-92, college: Buffalo) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. Five Cangrejeros players scored in double figures. The former international guard Christian Dalmau (194-77, college: Daytona St. CC) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Brian Conklin (198-89, college: St.Louis) added 18 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cangrejeros moved-up to third place, which they share with Guayama. Piratas lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Cangrejeros will meet Manati (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Piratas will play against the league's second-placed Caciques (#2) in Humacao and hope to secure a win.
