Quarter-Finals Round 4: Arak - Azad 91-90

Arak snapped three-game losing skid against Azad and won the decisive game in the quarterfinal series. Azad was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Arak forced 23 Azad turnovers. Strangely Azad outrebounded Arak 39-25 including 17 on the offensive glass. 34 personal fouls committed by Azad helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian power forward Zvonko Buljan (206-87, college: TCU) fired 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American-Guyanese Rawle Marshall (201-82, college: Oakland) chipped in 23 points. International forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) produced 29 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Azad's coach Mostafa Hashemi tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
