An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Maykop. First ranked Dynamo-MGTU faced 4th placed Rusichi K.. Host Dynamo-MGTU (28-5) defeated guests from Kursk (16-16) 74-63. Dynamo-MGTU forced 20 Rusichi K. turnovers. It was a good game for Ukrainian center Nikolay Eremin (206-85) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds. The former international guard Valentin Kubrakov (194-72) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Dynamo-MGTU players scored in double figures. Guard Nikolay Zavyalov (188-91) answered with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Kazulin Roman (187-94) added 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rusichi K.Dynamo-MGTU have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 28-5 record. Rusichi K. lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with 16 games lost. Dynamo-MGTU will play against Sogdiana-Skif (#5) in Voronezh in the next round. Rusichi K. will have a break next round.
