Second Stage Round 5: USK Praha B - Olomouc 90-83

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked USK Praha B (4-5) beat at home 4th placed Olomouc (3-5) 90-83 on Friday. They outrebounded Olomouc 42-18 including a 30-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for USK Praha B especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Olomouc was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Vilem Svoboda (201-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Forward Jan Sterba (200-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four USK Praha B players scored in double figures. USK Praha B's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Jiri Dedek (190-95) answered with 34 points (!!!) and center Jakub Sedlak (209-89) added 20 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Olomouc. USK Praha B moved-up to third place in Places 1-6. Loser Olomouc dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. USK Praha B will face Sokol Pisek (#13) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Olomouc will play against Nymburk B (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
