Regular Season Round 38: MMCITE Brno - USK Praha 68-48
Date: March 12, 2016
Bottom-ranked MMCITE Brno managed to get the second consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they outleveled sixth-ranked USK Praha 68-48. It's especially surprising that the victory came too easily and 20-point difference proves that MMCITE Brno was well-prepared to that game. The game was mostly controlled by MMCITE Brno. USK Praha managed to win third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding USK Praha to just 2 points in second quarter. The former international swingman Michal Kremen (200-81) notched 22 points and 5 rebounds to lead the effort and American-British guard Michael Ojo (195-89, college: Lehigh, agency: HMS) supported him with 18 points and 4 assists. Even 14 points and 6 rebounds by Bosnian power forward Igor Josipovic (205-88) did not help to save the game for USK Praha. Swingman Michal Mares (192-92) added 12 points and 4 steals for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MMCITE Brno (9-26) moved-up to tenth place, which they share with J.Hradec. Loser USK Praha keeps the sixth position with 19 games lost. MMCITE Brno will meet at home higher ranked NH Ostrava (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. USK Praha will have a break next round.
