Regular Season Round 45: Fukushima - Iwate Big Bulls 67-69

The most exciting game of round 45 in the BJ League took place in Fukushima. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Fukushima (24-15) to sixth ranked Iwate Big Bulls (22-17) 69-67 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fukushima. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Fukushima won fourth quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Nigerian forward Abdullahi Kuso (206-84, college: Tallahassee CC) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Alandise Harris (198-90, college: Arkansas) chipped in 23 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Le'Bryan Nash (201-92, college: Oklahoma St.) who recorded 23 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Stephan Van Treese (206-90, college: Louisville) added 14 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Iwate Big Bulls maintains sixth place with 22-17 record. Fukushima at the other side keeps the fifth position with 15 games lost. Iwate Big Bulls will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Fukushima will play again at home against Iwate Big Bulls (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
