Second Stage Round 10: Koping - Brahe Basket 89-55

Very expected game when 9th ranked Brahe Basket (1-17) was smashed on the road by first ranked Koping (16-4) 89-55 on Saturday. The game without a history. Koping led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Brahe Basket's 24. Koping forced 23 Brahe Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 49-27 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Brahe Basket's players. It was a very good performance for center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Kevin Grant (191-94) contributed with 26 points and 6 assists for the winners. Koping's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Jordanian forward Ali Mamoun (185-83) replied with 11 points and 8 rebounds and Karl Ble Cato (-94) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Brahe Basket. Koping have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Koping maintains first position in BEHS forts with 16-4 record. Brahe Basket lost ninth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 17 games lost. Koping will face Boras II (#4) on the road in the next round.
