Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both twelfth ranked AV Cantu and 11th ranked Juvecaserta had identical 9-13 record. This time AV Cantu used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Caserta 92-69 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by AV Cantu. Juvecaserta was better in second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Juvecaserta 37-26 including 25 on the defensive glass. AV Cantu looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Ukrainian center Kyrylo Fesenko (216-86) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international Awudu Abass (199-93, agency: Players Group) contributed with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. AV Cantu's coach Sergey Bazarevich felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American-Guinean forward Robert Jones (201-84, college: Washington) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Slovenian power forward Uros Slokar (210-83) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Juvecaserta. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. AV Cantu (10-13) moved-up to tenth place. Juvecaserta lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eleventh position with 14 games lost. AV Cantu will face league's leader Armani Milano on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Juvecaserta will play against Umana Venezia (#6) and hope to win that game.
