Regular Season Round 10: Ponce - Manati 66-72

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Leones' (4-7) home loss to tenth ranked Manati (4-6) 66-72 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 6 points. American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Ricardo Sanchez (212-87, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international swingman Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-86, college: Virginia Tech) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and American Dominic McGuire (206-85, college: Fresno St.) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Manati moved-up to eighth place, which they share with San German. Defending champion Leones dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. Manati will face Atleticos (#9) in San German in the next round. Leones will play on the road against Cangrejeros in Santurce and hope to win that game.
