Regular Season Round 25: Rapla - TTU 81-94

The game between third ranked Rapla (15-10) and eighth ranked TTU (10-15) was the most important one in the last round on Tuesday night. Rapla was defeated by TTU in Rapla 94-81. The game was mostly controlled by TTU. Rapla managed to win third quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 72.2 percentage. TTU looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Rapla helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international forward Kristjan Kitsing (205-90) fired 29 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. International point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (179-93) chipped in 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. American guard Devin Brooks (186-92, college: Creighton) produced 24 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import forward Maurice Kemp (203-91, college: E.Carolina) added 16 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. TTU moved-up to seventh place. Rapla at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. TTU are looking forward to face higher ranked BC Rakvere (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Rapla will play against Valga and is hoping to win this game.
