Regular Season Round 39: J.Hradec - Prostejov 77-87

Very expected game in J.Hradec where 11th ranked BK Lions Hradec (9-27) was defeated by second ranked Prostejov (25-11) 87-77. It looked good early as BK Lions Hradec took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Prostejov had a 25-11 second period charge getting the lead and BK Lions Hradec was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 77-87. Prostejov forced 20 BK Lions Hradec turnovers. It was a good game for international forward Lukas Palyza (202-89) who led his team to a victory with 28 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Brett Roseboro (208-91, college: UMBC, agency: HMS) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Prostejov players scored in double figures. American point guard Stephon Lamar (184, college: Pacific) answered with 30 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import guard Cameron Wright (195-92, college: Pittsburgh) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for BK Lions Hradec. Prostejov maintains second place with 25-11 record having just two points less than leader BK Decin. BK Lions Hradec at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 27 games lost. Prostejov's next round opponent will be Basketbal Svitavy (#8) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. BK Lions Hradec will play against BK Opava and hope to win that game.
