Very important is a road loss of second ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (18-7) against fourth ranked SKY/Basquete (18-8) on Thursday night. Visiting Paschoalotto/Bauru was defeated by SKY/Basquete in a tough game in Aldeota 86-90. Paschoalotto/Bauru was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. SKY/Basquete made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Paschoalotto/Bauru turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) who led the winners and scored 25 points and 8 assists. The former international guard Eduardo Machado (193-82) accounted for 17 points and 5 assists for the winning side. SKY/Basquete's coach Alberto Bial used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. American Robert Day (198-82, college: W.Oregon) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and international Leonardo Meindl (201-93) added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Paschoalotto/Bauru in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. SKY/Basquete moved-up to third place, which they share with Brasilia. Paschoalotto/Bauru lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with seven games lost. SKY/Basquete will meet Pinheiros (#7) in the next round. Paschoalotto/Bauru will play against Paulistano (#5) and hope to secure a win.
