Regular Season Round 11: Manati - San German 99-83

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Manati and 9th ranked Atleticos had identical 4-6 record. This time Manati used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from San German 99-83 on Thursday night. The game without a history. Manati led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Ricardo Melendez (179-83) who led his team to a victory scoring 34 points (!!!). Point guard Omar Alvarado (180-83) helped adding 20 points and 7 assists. American guard Will Martinez Correa (188, college: Malcolm X JC) responded with 22 points and Panamanian forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St., agency: Inception Sports) scored 13 points and 7 rebounds. Five Atleticos players scored in double figures. Atleticos' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Manati have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to sixth place. Atleticos lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. Manati will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Atleticos will play against the league's second-placed Capitanes (#2) and hope to secure a win.
