Indios were ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 23-17 third quarter run of Santeros. They outrebounded Indios 42-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. American forward Chane Behanan (198-92, college: Louisville) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Alex Abreu (180-91, college: W.Georgia) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Santeros' coach Allans Colon allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American-Panamanian guard Trevor Gaskins (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Pro Sports) answered with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and international forward Kevin Young (203-90, college: Kansas, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 15 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Indios. Four Santeros and five Indios players scored in double figures. Santeros have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fifth place with 6-5 record. Indios at the other side keep the eighth position with six games lost. Santeros will play against Leones (#10) in Juana Diaz in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Indios will play on the road against the league's leader Caciques in Humacao and hope to get back on the winning track.
