No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked UB Chartres (14-14) crushed at home 12th ranked Vendee Challans (12-15) 94-67 on Saturday. The game without a history. UB Chartres led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. UB Chartres forced 21 Vendee Challans turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. UB Chartres looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. It was a good game for Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (204-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Guard Damien Pistre (190-83) contributed with 21 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four UB Chartres players scored in double figures. UB Chartres had such big advantage that coach Philippe Namyst felt comfortable to give the chance to play for 10 players saving starting five for next games. Serbian Djordje Petrovic (202-84) answered with 19 points and naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahim Saounera (180-87) added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Vendee Challans. The victory was the third consecutive win for UB Chartres. They maintain ninth place with 14-14 record. Vendee Challans at the other side keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. UB Chartres will face SAP Vaucluse (#11) in Sorgues in the next round. Vendee Challans will play at home against Saint Vallier and hope to win that game.
