Pioneros held off Fuerza Regia to take 1-0 lead in the semis. Pioneros looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Brody Angley (180-86, college: Santa Clara, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 10 points and 9 assists for the winners. Four Pioneros players scored in double figures. American forward Eugene Phelps (198-90, college: Long Beach St.) answered with 17 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American forward Aaron Fuller (198-89, college: USC, agency: Haylett Sports) added 10 points in the effort for Fuerza Regia.
