Second Stage Round 6: Sokol Slapnice - Basket Kosice 64-61

There was a minor upset when 16th ranked Basket Kosice (7-15) was edged on the road by eighteenth ranked Sokol Slapnice (6-15) 64-61 on Sunday. Forward Zdenek Sebela (192-87) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jan Rotrekl (196-85) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was power forward Dusan Hlavacek (197-77) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Sokol Slapnice moved-up to seventeenth place in Places 13-20, which they share with Kondori Lib. Newly promoted Basket Kosice keeps the sixteenth position with 15 games lost. Sokol Slapnice will face higher ranked Sokol Pisek (#13) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
