No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vitebsk (17-7) crushed at home bottom-ranked GOCOR-Sozh (3-21) 96-55 on Sunday. The game without a history. Vitebsk led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to GOCOR-Sozh's 30. Vitebsk forced 25 GOCOR-Sozh turnovers and outrebounded them 51-32 including 19 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by GOCOR-Sozh's players. The winners were led by forward Marsel Ovsepian (202-90) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 17 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Victor Ovsepyan (204-91) supported him with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Vitebsk players scored in double figures. Vitebsk's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 32 points and 8 rebounds by point guard Artem Stankevich (185-95) did not help to save the game for GOCOR-Sozh. Power forward Aleksandr Kopacev (203-95) added 11 points for the guests. Vitebsk have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 17-7 record. Loser GOCOR-Sozh stay dead last with 21 lost games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
