We should mention about the upset which took place in Saint-Quentin, where higher ranked Le Portel (13-10) lost to twelfth ranked Saint-Quentin (11-13) in a road game 47-53 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 15 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 6 points. Saint-Quentin dominated on the defensive end, holding Le Portel to just 4 points in fourth quarter. They also forced 20 Le Portel turnovers. The best player for the winners was American swingman Ryan Evans (203-90, college: Wisconsin) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. Meredis Houmounou (188-88) chipped in 11 points and 5 assists. The former international Gary Chathuant (190-83) produced 12 points and guard Jessie Begarin (191-88, agency: Court Side) added 11 points respectively for the guests. Saint-Quentin moved-up to eleventh place. Loser Le Portel keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Saint-Quentin will face bottom-ranked Orchesien BC (#18) in Orchies in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
