Huima stepped closer to the semifinal stage as they upset ViVe on the road in the quarterfinal series opener. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 53-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and swingman Jazmine Perkins (178, college: Washington St.) chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the losing side forward Alexyz Vaioletama (185-93, college: USC) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists and center Elem Ibiam (193-93, college: S.Carolina, agency: LBM Management) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. Five Aanekosken and four ViVe players scored in double figures.
