Keflavik overcame Tindastoll to celebrate the first win in the playoffs. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Keflavik made 23-of-29 free shots (79.3 percent) during the game. Keflavik outrebounded Tindastoll 59-43 including a 42-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American forward Jerome Hill (198-94, college: Gardner-Webb) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 21 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Magnus Traustason (190-96) accounted for 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and guard Petur Birgisson (185-96) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for Tindastoll in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
