Regular Season Round 42: Svitavy - MMCITE Brno 99-78

Rather expected game when 11th ranked MMCITE Brno (10-29) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (16-24) 99-78 on Saturday. Basketbal Svitavy shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American power forward Nicchaeus Doaks (201-87, college: Chattanooga, agency: HMS) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Jan Spacek (195-89) chipped in 19 points and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Roman Zachrla (200-87) who recorded 20 points and the former international swingman Michal Kremen (200-81) added 12 points, 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals respectively. Five Basketbal Svitavy and four MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Basketbal Svitavy maintains eighth position with 16-24 record. MMCITE Brno lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 29 games lost. Basketbal Svitavy will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. MMCITE Brno will play against BK Kolin (#5) and hope to secure a win.
