Regular Season Round 28: Quimper - Angers BC 74-79

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Quimper UJAP (14-14) was defeated at home by eleventh ranked Angers BC (14-14) 79-74. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Quimper UJAP won third quarter 17-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Angers BC won last quarter 19-16. They shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. It was a very good performance for guard Romain Hillotte (195-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 8 assists. Point guard Hugo Suhard (184-92) contributed with 14 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) replied with 28 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his thirteen free throws !!!) and forward Mathieu Tensorer (198-83) added 10 points and 5 assists in the effort for Quimper UJAP. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Angers BC moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Quimper and SAP Vaucluse. Angers BC's next round opponent will be higher ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (#4) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
