Semi-Finals Game 3: Ciego de Avila - Villa Clara 97-60

Ciego de Avila cruised past Villa Clara to take 2-1 lead in the semifinal series. The game was mostly controlled by Ciego. Villa Clara managed to win third quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ciego dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Villa Clara's 40. Ciego forced 22 Villa Clara turnovers. It was a great evening for the former international William Granda (189-85, agency: Pro Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Center Yoan Haity helped adding 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Ciego players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Osvaldo Perez with 15 points and international center Yoel Cubillas (204-94) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
