Semi-Finals Game 3: Capitalinos - Guantanamo 81-48
Date: March 27, 2016
Capitalinos dropped Guantanamo to complete the sweep of the semifinal series. The game without a history. Capitalinos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. It was an exceptional evening for forward Hector Martinto (197-94) who led the winners and scored 19 points and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Forward Angel Rey Alvarez (190-90) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. Four Capitalinos players scored in double figures. Guard Ernesto Rauseaux (192-91) came up with 15 points and 4 steals and power forward Tomas Garcia (196-82) added 9 points respectively for Guantanamo in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
