Quarter-Finals Round 3: Yulon Luxgen - Fubon Braves 84-92

Fubon Braves handed the third consecutive defeat to Yulon Luxgen and earned their SBL semifinal appearance. Fubon Braves took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Yulon Luxgen won third quarter 25-22. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Fubon Braves won last quarter 25-19. Fubon Braves outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 47-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for American center Earl Barron (211-81, college: Memphis) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 24 rebounds. Guard Wei-Che Lin (182-92) contributed with 10 points and 9 assists for the winners. International Po-Chen Chou (196-90) answered with 19 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Shih-Yuan Chou (188-83) added 21 points in the effort for Yulon Luxgen. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
