Rather predictable result when seventh ranked Manati (8-8) defeated at home 9th ranked Indios (6-10) 91-86. The hosts were ahead by 2 points but lost the second period ending it with a 4-point deficit before their 31-22 run, which allowed them to win the game. Manati made 24-of-27 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Indios turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American forward Landon Milbourne (201-87, college: Maryland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Guard Alexis Colon (191) contributed with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American Josh Powell (206-83, college: N.Carolina St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Kevin Young (203-90, college: Kansas, agency: Paris Global Sports) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Indios. Four Manati and five Indios players scored in double figures. Manati moved-up to fifth place. Indios lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Manati's next round opponent will be higher ranked Santeros (#4) in Coamo and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
