Grindavik upset Haukar on the road to spur ahead in the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 17-13 charge, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Whitney Frazier (183-92, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Merit Management Group) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and the former international power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds. Grindavik's coach Daniel Gudmundsson used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side the former international swingman Helena Sverrisdottir (184-88, college: TCU) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 22 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and international forward Audur Olafsdottir (173-92) scored 5 points and 11 rebounds.
