The game between Top Four teams took place in Humacao. Third ranked host Caciques (11-6) defeated second-ranked Cangrejeros (10-6) 88-70. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Cangrejeros. It was a key game for the second position in the league. It looked good early as Cangrejeros took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Caciques had a 20-10 second period charge getting the lead and Cangrejeros were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 70-88. American forward Brandon Costner (206-87, college: N.Carolina St.) nailed 31 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Canadian guard Carl English (192-81, college: Hawaii) accounted for 21 points. Four Caciques players scored in double figures. American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas, agency: Priority Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and international point guard Javi Gonzalez (185-89, college: N.Carolina St.) added 13 points respectively for Cangrejeros in the defeat. Cangrejeros' coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Caciques moved-up to second place. Cangrejeros at the other side dropped to the third position with six games lost. Caciques will play against bottom-ranked Atleticos (#11) in San German in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cangrejeros will play on the road against Piratas (#8) in Quebradillas and hope to get back on the winning track.
