Regular Season Round 12: Guaymas - Mazatlan 80-85

An interesting game for Lobos UAD Mazatlan (9-4) which played road game in Guaymas against 3rd ranked Ostioneros de Guaymas (7-4). First ranked Lobos UAD Mazatlan managed to get a 5-point victory 85-80. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and forward Ross Rivera (201, college: Pacific) supported him with 22 points. Even 17 points, 6 assists and 4 steals by guard Justin Bocot (193-88, college: S.Illinois) did not help to save the game for Ostioneros de Guaymas. Guard Raymont McElroy (190-89, college: W.Virg.Wesl.) added 21 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lobos UAD Mazatlan maintains first position with 9-4 record. Ostioneros de Guaymas at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. Lobos UAD Mazatlan will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ostioneros de Guaymas will play again against the league's leader Lobos UAD Mazatlan (#1) and hope to secure a win.
