Very important is a road loss of Szolnok (1-1) against Atomeromu (1-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Szolnok was defeated by Atomeromu in Paks 92-78. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Szolnok was better in third quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import point guard Christopher Dunn (189-83, college: W.Virginia St., agency: Inception Sports) accounted for 18 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Serbian forward Strahinja Milosevic (203-85) came up with 18 points and 4 assists and international power forward Akos Keller (208-89) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Szolnok in the defeat. Five Atomeromu and four Szolnok players scored in double figures. Atomeromu will play against Alba (#3) in Szekesfehervar in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Szolnok will play at home against Kormend and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
