Piestanske Cajky fired past MBK Ruzomberok in the first game of the series. Piestanske C. dominated on the defensive end, holding MBK Ruzomberok to just 7 points in third quarter. They outrebounded MBK Ruzomberok 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. American center Nadia Parker (191-87, college: USC) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) for the winners and her fellow American import guard Monica Engelman (180-91, college: Kansas) chipped in 17 points. Parker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side the former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) responded with 19 points and international forward Katarina Tetemondova (188-88) scored 7 points and 7 rebounds. MBK Ruzomberok's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win.
