Very predictable result when second ranked Koping (17-5) won against at home 8th ranked RIG Mark (6-15) 74-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Koping. RIG Mark was better in third quarter 19-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Koping dominated down low during the game scoring 42 of its points in the paint compared to RIG Mark's 22. They outrebounded RIG Mark 47-29 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Mikael Axelsson (207-94) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). UAE forward Abbas Ibrahim (190) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Koping players scored in double figures. Guard Alexander Karras (187-98) replied with 16 points and Ludvig Johansson added 7 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for RIG Mark. Newly promoted Koping maintains second position with 17-5 record having just twelve point less than leader Trelleborg. RIG Mark at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighth place with 15 games lost. Koping will face Huddinge (#5) at home in the next round. RIG Mark will play against Boras II and hope to win that game.
