Semi-Finals Game 1: Good Angels - Samorin 88-40

Good Angels cruised past Samorin in the semifinal series opener. The game without a history. Good Angels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Samorin to just 6 points in second quarter and to 13 points in first half. Good Angels dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Samorin's 32. They outrebounded Samorin 50-24 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Good Angels looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Samorin's players. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Beata Janoscikova (197-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Slovenian point guard Teja Oblak (172-90) contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. Good Angels' coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international power forward Romana Vynuchalova (192-86, college: Penn St., agency: Regeneracom Sports) answered with 11 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Brittany Lewis (188-89, college: Louisiana Tech) added 4 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Samorin.
