Prva Liga top team - MZT Skopje (20-2) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat seventh ranked Strumica (4-19) 79-66. The game was mostly controlled by MZT Skopje. Strumica managed to win fourth quarter 26-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was Serbian center Uros Lukovic (213-89, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Serbian power forward Danilo Mijatovic (207-83) chipped in 9 points and 9 rebounds. Point guard Dusan Makenadziev (180-94) produced 16 points and 4 assists and Bosnian Mrdan Markovic (-83) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Strumica players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MZT Skopje have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-2 record. Strumica lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 19 games lost. MZT Skopje's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Skopje Rabotnicki.
