The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Armani Milano (20-6) in Capo d'Orlando on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by twelfth ranked Betaland CdO (11-15) 78-71. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Armani Milano. Armani Milano was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 6-point lead after three quarters before a 22-9 charge of Betaland CdO, which allowed them to win the game. Betaland CdO outrebounded Armani Milano 41-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. American point guard Ryan Boatright (183-92, college: Connecticut, agency: Priority Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. The other American import forward Laurence Bowers (203-90, college: Missouri) contributed with 13 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Betaland CdO's coach Gennaro Di Carlo used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian point guard Mantas Kalnietis (195-86, agency: Players Group) replied with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American swingman Rakim Sanders (193-89, college: Fairfield) added 17 points in the effort for Armani Milano. Betaland CdO moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Openjobmetis V. and Enel Brindisi. Armani Milano at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost.
