Second Stage Round 7: Kara Trutnov - Havirov 85-74

We should mention about the upset which took place in Trutnov, where higher ranked Havirov (9-14) lost to nineteenth ranked Kara Trutnov (6-17) in a road game 74-85 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Havirov. It was a great shooting night for Kara Trutnov especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Havirov's players. Point guard Ladislav Maly (181-84) fired 21 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Richard Musel (208-96) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Kara Trutnov players scored in double figures. Kara Trutnov's coach Ladislav Maly used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Lukas Bukovjan (168) produced 33 points (!!!) and center Jan Kolonicny (207) added 15 points and 20 rebounds respectively for lost side. Kara Trutnov maintains nineteenth place with 6-17 record. Newly promoted Havirov keeps the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Vysocina. Kara Trutnov are looking forward to face bottom-ranked VK VSB Ost. (#20) in Ostrava in the next round. Havirov will play at home against Sokol Pisek (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
