Catz upset Huima away from home to gain 2-0 lead in the series. The game was mostly controlled by Catz Lappeenranta. Aanekosken was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Catz Lappeenranta made 23-of-24 charity shots (95.8 percent) during the game. Catz Lappeenranta outrebounded Aanekosken 47-25 including a 33-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aanekosken was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American Chandrea Jones (177-87, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and Russian forward Elena Reshetko (184-86) supported her with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Even 26 points and 7 rebounds by American center Kenya Robinson (182-70, college: New Orleans) did not help to save the game for Aanekosken. Her fellow American import forward Sequoia Holmes (183-86, college: UNLV, agency: Merit Management Group) added 13 points and 8 rebounds for the hosts.
